Road cycling
This is a terrific walk or cycle ride that runs along a pleasant traffic-free path through the Wirral Countryside and along the coastal estuary of the River Dee. It follows the trackbed of part of the former Birkenhead Railway route from Hooton to West Kirby or the other way round.

Great ride on all types of bikes from road to mountain, try and go earlier in the morning to avoid big groups and dog walkers. Great as part of a bigger route as its flat 90% of the way
