The segment starts with a sort steep hill leading out of West Kirby and continues leading to the long incline up Thurstaston Common, it includes a mixture of short descents and one decent long fast one. Great for beginners to get used to climbing without being too intense.
The reverse route is more intense however it's possible to head down to the Wirral Way fom Heswall and enjoy a sheltered flat ride back to West Kirby away from the traffic.

Long slow burn climb with a couple of kickers but quite straight forward. The car drivers can be naughty and impatient though.
