It made a nice change to do a climb in north wales in good weather on a Saturday and not see a soul on the mountain. And to boot i think although its a short climb its well worth a visit

Dolwen ridge is described in Gary Smiths book of scrambles as arguably the best grade 3 scramble in ogwen valley. I would say its one of the best i have done

Drove to wales to climb tryfan and bristly ridge but could'nt get a parking spot anywhere (always a nightmare unless you arrive really early. Instead drove to capel curig and scrambled up moel siabod

Started with a Icy walk up to start of Crib Goch and began to climb in clear blue conditions. After crossing the first couple of pinnacles the weather took a turn for the worse and by the time we got to the summit of snowdon it was blizzard.

Got away from the bank holiday crowds by dropping down nant ffrancon to climb Atlantic slab. Time it well, a roped pair had just started on the route so I managed to get past them without any problems

A clear night climb up Crib Goch except for a light brief hail stone shower on the way up. It was fun but not sure
my girlfriend would do it again though
