So the bike tours through the Bienwald are controversial among cyclists:

Some say:

"The paths are like on a chess board, cross-shaped and almost always straight."

"A very small proportion of the paths are paved. There are too many gravel roads and paths that are knee-high overgrown."

"Unreasonable in summer because of the Schnake".

I drive regularly through the bee forest, but mostly use paved or gravel paths and avoid the gravel roads. In summer the trip is a good change and offers the typical forest coolness.
