Welcome to the Krankhoevebos - Pearl of the Bruinbeek valley.

The alternation of woods, meadows, farms and castles makes the Bruinbeek valley a beautiful Bonheiden landscape. The Krankhoevebos is one of the largest forest centers in the beautiful valley. Near the Bruinbeek is the oldest forest, a wetland forest of at least 250 years old. The much younger dry forest just behind the farm was planted between the two world wars.

In the Krankhoevebos there is something to experience every season. Information boards along the path give you more information about the exuberant spring flora and the wealth of mushrooms. But also about the slow worm, and woodpeckers that can always be spotted here.

The Krankhoevebos is amazing to be discovered.
Waterproof footwear is recommended to fully enjoy your adventure.
