The ascent to the Seekarspitze on Lake Achensee is a popular but challenging mountain tour with steep and rocky paths the closer you get to the summit. The tour offers spectacular views of Lake Achensee and the Karwendel Mountains, but is only suitable for experienced mountaineers. The entire route is around 14 kilometers and you will climb around 1,200 meters in altitude. Especially in summer, you should start early to avoid the midday heat and plan enough breaks. Surefootedness and a head for heights are essential on this route, as some passages are narrow and exposed.

After the Seekaralm, the path becomes increasingly steeper and rockier along the ridge.

If you want to take the same route back down to Achenkirch, poles are definitely recommended.
