The historic center of Ribeauvillé is characterized by half-timbered houses and numerous buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries. Dominating medieval monuments are the parish church of St.-Grégoire-le-Grand and the Tour des Bouchers (Metzgerturm - both from the 13th century). The town is dominated by the three castle ruins Ulrichsburg, Girsberg and Hohrappoltstein (Château de Saint -Ulrich, du Girsberg, et de Haut-Ribeaupierre).
