The Meraner Höhenweg is one of the most beautiful high alpine circular hikes in Europe. Over a length of 100 kilometers, the Meraner Höhenweg circles the South Tyrol's largest nature park, the Texelgruppe Nature Park, at an altitude of around 1,400 meters. There are always height differences of a few 100 meters to be overcome. The Texel Group lies between the Italian-Austrian border, the Merano Basin, Passeier Valley and Schnals Valley.

The Hans Frieden Trail is a section of the Merano High Trail and is doable for every mountain hiker, you should not be afraid of heights but special skills are not required
