The Austerdalsbreen is a glacier arm of the Jostedalsbreen - the largest glacier in continental Europe. Like waterfalls, three glaciers named after Nordic deities descend into the valley: Odins-, Tors- and Lokebreen. Here you can get close to the glacier. But as great pieces break off again and again, when the glacier "calves" you should better watch this spectacle of ice with a little distance and enjoy the view with a pause on one of the large boulders at the foot of the glacier.
