Town of Iphofen

Iphofen is a picturesque little town at the foot of the Steigerwald. The city is famous for its wine and above all for its unique and perfectly preserved downtown. If you walk through one of the city gates and stroll along the lovingly tended houses, the city takes you on a journey through time.

The historic old town of Iphofen with its completely preserved weir system with gates and towers is a historic journey into the past for young and old explorers and the experience of the present with the culture on every corner. Wine in all its facets, hiking through a wonderful wine landscape with fantastic views, wine tours or enjoyment in gastronomy, nobody can avoid wine here. More than 20 winegrower families with their wineries offer pleasure for the senses, the vinotheque, the art project Bocksbbeutel at the city lake, the vineyards around Iphofen with the history vineyard and the viewpoint terroir f as well as many other details make the wine in all its diversity everywhere in Franconia's wine town experienced.
