Rather, it is a single family home built after 2007 in a well-matched style.

Büchold hill castle, first mentioned in a document in 1299, has had many owners over the centuries, such as the Johanniterhaus in Würzburg, the Counts of Rieneck, the Lords of Thüngen, Dietrich Echter von Mespelbrunn, the families of Dahlberg, Greifenclau and Ingelheim.
The castle has been in private hands since the 19th century.
