The old place of execution of Pleystein used to be here on the Galgenberg. From the 614 meter high plateau, mountain bikers and hikers can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the hilly landscape of the border region far into the Bohemian region. Very nice place to take a break, drive up and come down.

Mountain biking

In September 1977 a 16 meter high wooden cross was installed here, which already two years later became rotten and buckled. In 1999 a new wooden summit cross with a height of 14 meters and a crossbar width of five meters was erected, which was replaced in 2014 by the current ten-meter high metal summit cross.
