In 1471 Jörg Rabensteiner appeared as the owner. In a first documented confirmation of the mill operation from 1581, the "Klappermühle" is mentioned. Baron von Arnim from Sophienreuth set up a fish farm there in 1881, which originally consisted of 35 ponds and a few forest streams, including the Tannigbach. The Tannigbach joins the Bocksbach and flows into the Perlenbach.
