This imposing rock is part of the quartz passage that extends from Hohenstein near Oberems to "Lai" and on to Hausstein-Gluckstein near Steinfischbach to "Heppenborn" in the Dombach valley.

The Laifelsen is part of the quartz vein, which also includes the better-known Eschbacher cliffs.

Impressive rock that protrudes here. It is similar to the Eschbarer Cliffs, only a little smaller.
