The Laubenstein (1350m) is certainly one of the less well-known peaks in the Hochries area, but the number of hikers is no longer an insider tip. The ascent is absolutely easy, the reward with the views of Chiemsee, the Kampenwand area and the nearby ridge that extends from Hammerstein to Zellerwand is rich, despite the comparatively low altitude. The extensive summit area also offers enough space for an extensive rest at the summit.

This path avoids the forest road, but is often slippery. Better to go up than down. Many fallen trees from last winter on the way. Not faster than the road on the forest road, but much more interesting.
