Bike Touring Highlight
The inner harbor is an anchor point of the Route Industriekultur:
With mill factories and storehouses, the center of the German grain trade was established around 1900 at the inner harbor of Duisburg. After the Second World War, the inner harbor lost its importance, in the 1970s threatened the old granaries of demolition. Today, architects, artists and urban planners are transforming it into an attractive urban quarter that combines work, living and leisure. Special attractions include: the MKM Museum Küppersmühle for Modern Art, the attractive restaurant row, the Culture and City History Museum as well as the round trips through Europe's largest inland port from the Steiger Schwanentor. Maritime flair spreads the "Marina Duisburg" with 133 moorings, yacht service, sport boat rental and other services around the boat.route-industriekultur.ruhr/ankerpunkte/innenhafen-duisburg.html
