The Sieboldswäldchen is located between the Hubland and Keesburg districts, in the immediate vicinity of residential areas and the areas of the university and technical college.

The Würzburg Beautification Association, founded in 1874, made the reforestation of the desolate fallow areas of the Sieboldshöhe one of its first tasks. The first plantings in autumn 1876 comprised around 120 deciduous trees. Up to the present day they have been planted, cared for, remodeled, beautified and thus the recreational value has been taken into account. Trees and bushes were planted again and again - most recently in the spring of 2017 with the planting of 18 donor trees on the expansion area on Sanderheinrichsleitenweg.

Today the so-called park forest is characterized by clearings with individual trees (especially black pines), forest paths with hall-like trees and also impenetrable, natural forest areas with old and dead wood. The magic of the forest quickly captivates the visitor, the everyday noise turns into a faint rustling. Far from any hustle and bustle, you can experience the layers of the forest as the seasons change. In the middle of the city, young and old can go on a journey of discovery and experience nature tangibly and with all their senses.
