It is definitely worth risking a visit - especially since the adjoining park / garden is beautiful and always offers a view of the water. This is where the Berlin Wall Trail runs, providing a wealth of information and impressions from the Cold War era.

At the Quapphorn, this enigmatic building was rebuilt in 2007 (originally built in 1796). The Hermitage/Hermitage is a pavilion with no side windows, instead with a skylight in a thatched roof. Thatched roof and oak bark facade cladding give the whole a very unusual character.
