A truly impressive palace complex: The buildings are beautiful, and the park is beautifully maintained. In the historic vaults of the former game cellar in the Osnabrück Pavilion, you'll also find a restaurant and a café. If you'd like to dine here, we recommend reserving a table in advance. The highlight of Hümmling is the Clemenswerth hunting lodge, with its star-shaped grounds and spacious park, offering lush opportunities for strolling and walking. When exploring, don't miss the Marsstall (horse stables) or the ponds located at the far end of the grounds. If you have the opportunity to view the castle buildings from the inside, that's also a real treat. The same applies, of course, to the castle church.

Anyone interested in gardening and the landscape will discover astonishing moments of how well the complex has been constructed in relation to the architecture of the buildings. Everything works naturally - and yet "naturally" has been deliberately and purposefully created. Visual axes, waters, bridges - everything looks easy. And that's how it works. I'll be back. Large parts of the terrain are passable by bike.
