In 1906, construction work on the Großauheimer Paulskirche, which is popularly known in this country as the “Dom am Main”, was in full swing. After the foundation stone was laid on October 8, 1905, the four bells were consecrated on September 23, 1906 and on July 1, 1907, Bishop Schmitt consecrated the Catholic Church.
