Laderholz - a small village between Neustadt am Rübenberge and Schwarmstedt - is the only watermill in the Hanover region that is still in operation for show purposes.
In 1990, enthusiastic villagers came together in an association to restart the mill - of which only pitiful remains were left. After years of voluntary work, the mill was once again presented to the public in its old glory.
