South of the hustle and bustle of tourists, this lighthouse stands on the dike not far from Ording. It can be easily reached on foot or by bike via the dike. A bench in front of the tower invites you to linger and there is a refuge about 20 meters away! A bronze plaque on the lighthouse reveals interesting information. Unfortunately, the tower is not accessible and there are no guided tours. ;-(

The Böhler lighthouse was built in 1892. Its light served as a cross-mark and orientation light when entering the Eider fairway. Although you cannot climb the tower, you can enjoy the sunset here wonderfully.
