Tips

  • From here there are beautiful views downriver and upriver. Especially the view to the south to St. Maximilian and the Reichenbach Bridge is great in the right light conditions.

  • The Cornelius Bridge was built in 1902 after the flood disaster of 1899 in the course of the Isar regulation (architect Theodor Fischer). The namesake is Peter von Cornelius (painter) and his nephew Peter Cornelius (composer). The 130-meter-long Cornelius Bridge is a popular connection between Isarvorstadt and Au. The "Isarbalkon" of the bridge is a popular event location in summer.
