If you like small, cozy alpine pastures, the Staudacher Alm is just right for you. The ambience and the surroundings invite you to sit down. The homemade cake is worth a sin. Simply delicious!

  • A nice little Alm with a nice landlady, who cares for little things for body and well-being. Definitely worth a stop.

  • The Staudacher Alm is a real insider tip. It is quite remote and mostly only know the locals. Remote, because most hikers go over the Hochgernhaus to the summit. The path over the Staudacher Alm to the summit is a bit arduous, because of the scree field, which has to be overcome.

  • The Staudacher Alm is wonderfully secluded and yet easy to reach for hikers coming from different directions. It lies in a hollow in front of an impressive rock face. Chickens sometimes walk under the tables on the terrace without being intrusive. The innkeepers are very friendly and the snacks are big enough and tasty!
    Definitely recommended!

  • The Staudacher Alm is conveniently located on the way up to Hochgern and offers drinks and cakes. Be it to strengthen yourself on the way up or as a reward for the effort on the descent.

  • Tip for those who want to ascend from here on the Hohengern: this year is long and a lot of snow ... the way from up here is no longer recognizable and find in snow. Therefore, you should first consider whether you prefer a round on the south side (directly to the Hohengernhaus) and then look how far you can get.

  • The ascent, starting from the parking lot at Mühlwinkel in Staudach, is a real pleasure to walk. Along the Wilbach up to the Alm there is an almost even incline and family-friendly. The Staudacher Alm is run by exceptionally friendly hosts and very nice girls. A lard and bacon bread, lovingly arranged and served on a wooden board, put you in a really good mood. The quality of the lard bread has to be unrivaled, just great. The beer ice cold in sparkling clean glasses, wow. As a local I have to say that my personal quality standard for a good hut has a new front runner.
