Mellenthin Moated Castle

Because of the many beautiful pictures I can save myself a lot...Fact: the water castle, built between 1575 and 1596, has been privately owned since 2001 and houses a hotel, a brewery and a coffee roastery. In the summer months, all sorts of medieval festivals take place almost every day.
Not far from the castle there is the old church in the town center.

Very pleasant hotel with a small wellness area (bio sauna max. 60 °C, Finnish sauna, foot warming pool, various showers, relaxation area).

The restaurant offers good cuisine with a wide selection. Beers made in-house are offered. The selection of wines is rather limited.

In the brewery premises (with the exception of Sunday and Monday) theme evenings are offered, some with live music. These topics are just a matter of taste...

Beautiful property with a small market in the yard. However, to get there, a bridge toll of 2 euros per person has to be paid. You would get the bridge duty charged when you eat it, but that took too long for us
