The Auer'sche Keller is a former beer cellar of a former local brewery (Altdorfer Brauhaus). It was formerly used as the taproom of the nearby lion pit. The branched cellar was driven into the castle sandstone around 1846. It is privately owned. The Auer'sche Bierkeller is located on the way near the Löwengrube and has lost none of its old charm. Today it is sometimes used for art exhibitions. Only the front of the old half-timbered house can be seen from the building. The rest of the building protrudes into the hillside and is protected from the weather and strangers.

From the outside, the Auersche Keller looks a bit like a witch's cottage.
