Best Hikes to Batöni Waterfall Arena

Tips

  • Batöni Waterfall Arena (Waterfalls all around) / UNESCO World Heritage Site Sardona Tectonic Arena
The five idyllic waterfalls - all between 86 and 45 meters high - plunge over the steep cliffs and transform the Batöni valley into a natural spectacle.
Not only is the view overwhelming, the energies released are also evidently high and uplifting. Therefore, in esoteric circles, the Batöni Waterfall Arena is one of a total of 55 places of power, spread across the entire Heidiland holiday region, which were documented in collaboration with the Swiss Power Places Research Center. These so-called places of wonder can be discovered on 15 circular hikes. Special hiking descriptions not only point to energetic observations, but also tell of historical facts, legends and traditions.
The easiest way to access the waterfall arena is from Weisstannen. The hike there and back takes around three hours (7 km / 590 m). Stage 4 of the Sardona World Heritage Trail No. 73 from Weisstannen to the Sardona Hut SAC also leads past the Batöni Waterfall Arena. And since this is located in the Graue Hörner federal hunting ban area, there is a good chance that you will be observed by curious chamois, deer or ibexes on the hike.

    Waterfalls all around
You are in front of the 81 meter high Piltschinabachfall (left), the Sässbachfall (86 m high, middle) and the Muttenbachfall (45 m high, right). A little further up, the Lavtinabach flows into the Piltschinabach and a little further below the Guetentalbach into the Gufelbach. You are at a five-armed water power place that has been removed to form an impressive rock arena. Not only is the view overwhelming, the energies are also extremely high and uplifting.
At the foot of waterfalls there are places with great charging power. There is no need to go closer to the water, because of the large number of falls you are standing at their confluence in a truly charged arena.

  • Nice suspension bridge but not too big. Still worth seeing.
