Glacier mills - Alp Mora, Trin
The Maliensbach, which rises on the Trinser Alp Mora (1,900 m above sea level), has been turning large stones, sand and gravel around its own axis in the same place for hundreds of years. So natural bathtubs (glacier mills) have formed over centuries of work. Each “glacier mill” is unique in its shape, appearance and depth. Some are small and almost circular, while the others are elliptical and big enough to bathe in. The largest and most beautiful collection of «glacier mills» is at the height of the Mutta Sura, where the almost 20 glacier pots are also easily accessible.
During the summer months, the crystal clear water warms up in these tubs and invites young and old to a wonderful natural bath. The «Glacier Mills» are always filled with water, even when the Maliensbach does not have any water!
