Reflection Canyon Trail can be a demanding but rewarding experience. There is no escape from the sun exposure and the trail can be hard to follow at times. It is not uncommon for hikers to split this into a multi-day trek so they can camp on the rim of Reflection Canyon.

The trail has views of beautiful rock formations as hikers travel out to the canyon rim. The terrain is rocky and sandy. Make sure you are fully prepared with water and navigation before taking on this hike.

Once you leave the sandy areas you dive into a rocky landscape of red sandstone getting closer to Lake Powell and Reflection Canyon. Even though a digital map might show a line there is no trail to follow. You will need a GPS device or navigation map on your phone and good route finding skills to get to Reflection Canyon. The good thing is: you can take different routes in and out and climb some of the stunning sandstone formations. But always keep the LNT ethics in mind.
