Hiking

The Wysburg is said to have been one of the robber castles destroyed by King Rudolf von Habsburg in 1289/90. The castle ruins excavated from 1985 to the present day, consisting of a core and outer bailey with a surrounding wall and ditch system with a total of 1.1 hectares. The archaeological evidence of the castle siege could be provided here with a blide erected at a distance of 380m. The bombardment took place mainly on the western wall, it was the weak point of the defense. Today the castle is looked after by a castle association.
