At the site of today's pedestrian crossing reversed long before the construction of a ferry. In 1928, the opinion was increasingly expressed in the population that, contrary to their opinion, the ferry service of the Lehrmann family was unable to meet the passenger volume of 3,000 people. The Association for the Promotion of Sanderau's interests organized a protest meeting with much interest, in which the idea of a bridging or staging direction was pushed.
