In the village Kranepuhl stands in the village center a field stone church. The building dates back to the 13th century and has been little changed ever since. The beautiful brick gable and bell tower were renewed in the early 19th century. Particularly noteworthy is the small church door with its stone arch, which forms the only access to the church.

The church is a 13th-century stone building, which was altered in the 16th century. The belfry is in timber frame construction.

Judging by the type of brickwork, Kranepuhl's church seems to have been built as an apse hall in the first half of the 13th century. Apart from the renovations in 1890/20, a baroque roof tower was demolished in 1993/94 and replaced by today's half-timbered brick roof tower. Today the small village church appears as a simple rectangular hall, but could once have had a semi-circular apse in the east. In any case, their shape seems to be clearly visible in the ground. However, the only way to find out about this is through an excavation.
