In the village Kranepuhl stands in the village center a field stone church. The building dates back to the 13th century and has been little changed ever since. The beautiful brick gable and bell tower were renewed in the early 19th century. Particularly noteworthy is the small church door with its stone arch, which forms the only access to the church.

The construction of the village church in Kranepuhl probably began at the beginning of the 13th century. In 1588 the church received a new bell. Between 1720 and 1959 the church was extensively renovated several times. In 1993/1994 the church tower had to be demolished because of the risk of collapse. The tower was restored by 1995.
