    Hiking

The butcher's house was built in 1930. From 1933 onwards, the water from the Pfaffensee was channeled through the butcher's house and made drinking water in the Gallenklinge waterworks. In 1998 the water treatment from the Pfaffensee was stopped. The park lakes have been used for emergency water supply ever since.

    Hiking

The Christophstollen ends in this shaft. The Metzgerhausstollen also ends here and is a historic inflow tunnel to the former Pfaffensee water reservoir, which is now a popular tourist destination in the Rotwildpark nature reserve and is only used to provide emergency drinking water to Stuttgart residents.
Stuttgart's drinking water has been coming from Lake Constance via a very long pipeline for some time.

    Hiking

The Pfaffensee was a reservoir that was built in 1566 and filled by damming up the water from the Glems. The water was channeled through the 873 meter long Christoph tunnel via the Heslach waterfalls into the Nesenbach, so that the citizens of Stuttgart could be supplied with water.
