Status 2021 - Current reconstruction of the area (renaturation). At the moment, huge amounts of earth and stones are being moved at the Osterloh weir. The reason lies in the restoration of a natural river landscape in the area of the Aller weir there. You create, so to speak, a new additional river bed with a connection to an existing, old Allerarm. The course of the Aller cycle path will be changed in this area in the near future due to the renaturation.

It is planned to reduce the weir in the coming years to fish to enable the way to their traditional spawning grounds. For this purpose, the old arm "Theewinkel" should be included in the upper water.
