DURST MALZ makes history
DURST MALZ has developed from a family business into a large malt manufacturer in almost two centuries. DURST MALZ was founded in 1824 as a country brewery and malthouse in Heidelsheim near Bruchsal. About sixty years later, the company specialized in malting - it was converted into a commercial malt house.
After modernization measures towards the end of the century, the first malt was exported in 1924. At the end of the Second World War, the owners Karl Fritz and Reiner Hiby-Durst continued to expand the company.
