The Monastery Speinshart was built in the 12th century as a Romanesque monastery. The monastery church is one of the most important architectural monuments of the Upper Palatinate. The unique design of the church interior is characterized by the abundance of stucco work and paintings. The monastery is located in the midst of the preserved as an ensemble monastery village Speinshart, which was renovated exemplary. Together with the historic monastery village, the monastery is a cultural asset of European importance.

The Monastery Speinshart is an abbey of the Premonstratensian order in Speinshart in the Upper Palatinate in the Diocese of Regensburg. The system with four wings was created in the Baroque. The collegiate church with the Patrozinium Maria Immaculata is today a parish and parish church (Source: Wikipedia).

E-bike charging option! The Speinshart monastery has a monastery village which was arranged in a ring around the monastery, probably for fortification reasons. At that time, the monastery village could only be entered through the north gate, as there was still swampland around the monastery at that time.
