Bike Touring Highlight (Segment)
The route follows an old railway line. The slope is therefore low before. We drove the tour from the Moselle uphill. There are about 60 km with a slope of 2 - 3% but noticeable in the calves. Rise better with the bus and then cycle back to the Moselle.

The Maare-Moselle Cycle Route is a cycle path that connects Daun in the Vulkaneifel region with the Moselle Valley via the former secondary railway tracks Daun-Wengerohr and Wengerohr-Bernkastel-Kues. On the old railway line it goes with at most 3% slope over viaducts, bridges, through tunnels and the Eifel forests down into the Mosel valley.
Its total length is 58 km.

A very nice and varied bike path. The due to his leadership (ehm railway line) certainly suitable for children. There are of course some gradients in it but that should work.

Very pleasant to drive. If you come from the Eifel, it is almost only downhill; if not, at least the slope is very moderate.

Very nice route to drive a lot to see and a wonder of nature. The Maare-Mosel-Radweg is a cycle path that connects the former branch lines Daun-Wengerohr and Wengerohr-Bernkastel-Kues with the Moselle valley via Daun in the Vulkaneifel. On the old railway line it goes with a maximum gradient of 3% over viaducts, bridges, through tunnels and the Eifel forests down into the Moselle valley.
Its total length is 58 km. You definitely have to have seen it or driven it.
