“The so-called Weelfel Cross (also called Wölfel Cross) in the south of Gösing, a pillar shrine with an inscription according to the decree of Ferdinand III, was erected in the second half of the 17th century in thanks for the end of the Thirty Years' War.The inscription "1696" is attributed to a restoration error; in fact, the monument was probably erected in 1656.
