Best meat from naturally kept animals. Everything in the yard from birth to formwork. Long queues when meat is sold. But it's worth it.

Suckler cow beef

We are a small family business in the heart of the Sauerland - on the outskirts of the municipality of Herscheid.

Our main branch of business is breeding, rearing and keeping with the subsequent, careful slaughter of Aubra cattle that graze on approx. 100 hectares of natural grassland.

We also keep a few fattening pigs and grow Christmas trees for our annual Christmas market.

The calves that are born with us stay with the mothers in the herd group for up to 9 months, where they feed on milk and grass. They are then fed hay and GMO-free grain in our open stables. This promotes fat storage (marbling) in the meat and has a positive effect on the taste.

New modern slaughtering and cutting plant

Slaughtering and cutting takes place directly at the farm by Karsten Schäfer. As a result, the animals have no stress (no long transport routes). State-of-the-art hygiene and animal welfare standards. The meat matures in the bone. Our shop is open for you on Saturdays from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. We are happy to take pre-orders.
