The Sass Rigais (Ladin Sas Rigais) is considered the main summit of the Odle peaks due to its massive shape. With a height of 3025 m, it is just as high as the directly neighboring Furchetta, both of which can therefore be regarded as the highest peaks of the Odle peaks. The Geislerspitzen separate the Funes Valley in the north from the Gardena Valley in the south. The summit can be reached in three different ways. The "normal route" leads from the Villnösstal over the Mittagsscharte and then meets the second route, which leads from the southwest over scree, wooden walkways, rugged slabs, scree and then as a via ferrata-like climb to the summit. The third option is the via ferrata from the Salieresscharte in the southeast. Crossing the summit with a climb on this moderately difficult via ferrata and descent over the short rocky southeast ridge to the southwest on a path similar to a via ferrata is impressive. From the summit you have wonderful views of the two valleys, the neighboring Furchetta, the Puez group, the Sassolungo group and the Sella massif. But already the ascent is very scenic.
The tour is often made with the support of the Col Raiser cable car, i.e. ascent from its mountain station. An overnight stay at the Regensburger Hütte is also highly recommended.
