A nice short hike with many impressive views of the canyon. Actually, the entire stretched is a highlight. Good parking is available at the car park "C + D" from here with the shuttle bus to the Visitor Center and here the hike starts. Take a lot of water - there is little shade.

The trail is a geological trail and part of the Rim Trail. It starts at the geological museum. This is the place to start, as the stone exhibits get older and older. The impression is more intense then. On the basis of the boards you can then learn a lot about the different layers of rock in the Grand Canyon.

Hiking

The Rim Trail runs above the edge of the Grand Canyon - always at about the same height, so that there are no sweaty ascents and descents. Up here you can sensually experience the gigantic dimensions of the world's largest canyon. The way back is through the Canyon Village camp. (Round trip: 4 hours, 15.1 kilometers, up and down: 140 meters)
