The Buchenb├╝hl stands out clearly from the Reichswald monotony with the climbing plants. Grandios in the fall.

The forest around Nuremberg is so beautiful, but here at this point it is something special. Forget everyday life and enjoy nature! čśë

The Reichswald has an area of approximately 25,000 hectares. In accordance with the division of the old town of Nuremberg by the Pegnitz into the southern Lorenzer (with the Lorenzkirche) and the northern Sebalder Altstadt (with the Sebalduskirche), it also divides the Reichswald into the Lorenzer Reichswald south of the Pegnitz and the Sebalder Reichswald north of the Pegnitz. In the south, an area of approximately 10,000 hectares can be assigned to the Reichswald, which extends to the Rothsee and has only recently been called the Southern Reichswald. The Nuremberg Reichswald belonged to the Reichsgut in the Middle Ages, i.e. the crown estate of the Roman-German electoral kings near their Nuremberg imperial castle and was administered by the imperial city of Nuremberg. The entire area of the Sebalder and Lorenzer Reichswalds comprised around 32,000 hectares at the beginning of the 19th century and fell to around 25,000 hectares due to deforestation and use as building land.More info: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C3%BCrnberger_Reichswald
