Among other things, a small café called Forget-me-not was built on the former palace grounds:do not forget me
Don't forget yourself
Think of me from time to time, think of you more often
Be good to yourself, please promise me.

The Gersdorff family had been living in Guteborn since 1397. The exact start of construction of the castle is unknown. The first mention of the manor house as a castle is the renovation 1564-1575. Before you can only read about a knight's seat, seat or estate. During the revolution of 1918, the castle was a refuge for the Saxon king Friedrich August III. The latter abdicated on Guteborn Castle on November 13, 1918. In 1945 the Schönburg family had to leave the castle. The castle was blown up on August 8, 1948. The stables that were used by an LPG, the rotunda of the chapel and the castle pond were preserved. [1]
