The Uetersen beech is a natural monument in Uetersen, Pinneberg district. Due to its location on the B 431, it is the most noted natural monument in Uetersen.

The blood beech (Fagus sylvatica f. Purpurea) has been listed as a natural monument at the Lower Nature Conservation Authority of the Pinneberg district with the number 06/01 under the name Purple Beech since December 19, 1997. The beech is said to be around 250 years old.

The beech is in very good condition with only a small amount of dead wood in the crown. The trunk is full of wood and without any noticeable impairments. The tree has a large crown with a diameter of 27.30 and a height of about 22 meters. The trunk has a circumference of approximately 5.30 meters at the point of its smallest diameter. Measured at a height of one meter, the trunk circumference is 6.40 meters.

It is one of the striking and old tree specimens in southern Schleswig-Holstein (probably the oldest beech tree there).
