Haslach looks back on a long history, with the first settlement dating back to the 1st century AD. From the 17th century onward, the town developed as a market town. The wide streets and squares typical of that time are completely preserved. Together with the narrow residential and artisan alleys, they give the old town its charm. The old town has been a listed monument since 1978.
