Ever heard of 't Zulleke, Door 't Stuk or the Pools Weefkepad? Some 30 slow roads in Heusden-Zolder have been given a nameplate since 2021. Footpaths, field paths or shortcuts without through motorized traffic are intended as safe, pleasant shortcuts for pedestrians and cyclists. They connect our church villages and take us to tourist, cultural destinations or nature experience routes. The new names are inspired by names from the Atlas der Buurtwegen or by historical topographic maps, supplemented with proposals from village councils, KWB Heusden and the local government.
