These were part of the defense system associated to the harbour of Rotterdam. I believe that this one was built during WWII by the nazis as part of the Atlantic Wall

Road cycling

In 1982 I was on my way with two bars to Hoek van Holland and I hit this bunker through a hole in the road. At the time it were tires without kevlar so a snakebite was easily done (flat tire could not be made through the two holes of the rim rim bumping on the rubber). Another tube in and we wanted to go again but the two sizes had entered the bunker because of the heat to find the coolness, so I lost them. But this story came up again at this place.
