The town hall, built between 1810 and 1811 by King Frederick of Württemberg as a royal residence for members of the royal family, was once part of the palace complex. Until 1963, the school was located on the upper floor with its own staircase at the western gable. The town hall was located on the ground floor. The current town hall was built after renovation in 1972.

The Freudental town hall in the immediate vicinity of the castle was originally built as a prince's building in 1810-11 by King Friedrich I of Württemberg for the members of the royal family. It was once part of the palace complex.
Up until 1963, the school was on the upper floor with a staircase in the western gable. At that time, the town hall was housed in the basement.
After the renovation of the building in 1972, today's town hall was built. The school was outsourced to Gartenstrasse.
Opposite the town hall is the former barracks of the castle.
