The three-aisled early Gothic basilica was built in the early 13th century with rubble from Plötzky and then changed several times. Originally a flat roof construction, a few years later the two square towers on the west side were added. From the second half of the 13th century the arcades with pointed arches are preserved. The baroque double hoods and lanterns date from 1735, the neo-Gothic west portal was used in 1840. The choir is rectangular and the same width as the nave. Larger alterations of the church took place in the 18th century and 1884/85. In the 18th century, the aisles were raised to allow a uniform pitched roof. 1885 was a renewed conversion to the original basic roof shape.
