The lovingly designed “Am See” zoo is located on the same site as our SFZ (student leisure center). The animal enclosure has been a popular destination for families and guests of the city for many years. Every day you can admire native animals such as eagle owls, pheasants, donkeys, horses, rabbits, goats and sheep, but also exotic animals such as budgies, canaries, zebra finches, raccoons, llamas and peacocks. In our zoo you can go for a walk, relax, observe and experience nature in a special way. Two employees and the “animal care” working group, which offers interested students an exciting daily leisure activity, look after the animals.
The zoo has an area of approx. 10,000 square meters on which around 200 animals live.

Update May 2024:
The zoo is unfortunately closed. I suspect due to financial bottlenecks. The enclosures are empty and at the moment I do not know when or even if the park will open its gates again.
